I am putting up for sale my very exceptional condition 1985 Lund Pro Angler 16 aluminum fishing boat, with 50 hp Mercury 4 cylinder outboard motor and Shorelander roller trailer. I bought this boat [and motor and trailer] brand new in 1985, and it has sat covered up in my heated garage for the last 20 years, and I did not use the boat much even before then as I did not fish very much. Over the years I have occasionally run the motor [with water muffs] and I charge the trolling motor battery and the starting battery a few times a year. The reason that this boat has not been used for 20 years is that I bought another fishing boat in 2002, and have used that boat for fishing since then. I guess I have held on to this Lund basically for sentimental reasons, as it was my first boat, and my wife frequently points out to me that I do not need 2 fishing boats, especially since I don’t use either one. The boat does have a Mercury Thruster Plus electric trolling motor mounted on the bow. Boat has Lowrance X15B paper graph [which can be moved to either bow or rear swivel mount with a toggle switch], Lowrance X2160 flasher, interior lights, surface water temp gauge, and compass, all in working order. Two 6 gallon gas tanks and the trolling motor battery are mounted in underfloor compartments in the bow of the boat, and the starting battery is mounted in a compartment in the stern of the boat. I did this for 2 reasons: 1] I did not want a battery and gas tanks sitting out in the interior of the boat, taking up space-it’s a much cleaner and uncluttered look in the interior of the boat with much more available interior room; and 2] with the weight of the gas tanks and trolling motor battery in the bow of the boat, this boat can really cut through big waves under power without bouncing over them, and really smooths out the ride in rough water. I have had the original carpeting covered up since the boat was new, so the carpet is like new. The Pro Angler has a large live well. The Shorelander trailer has boat guide-ons and a spare tire mounted on the trailer. The motor has always run perfectly, it has always started immediately when I turned the key, and it should still run perfectly, as it has very low hours on it. The great thing about this motor is that even though it is a 50 hp motor, with its 4 cylinders, it can troll down so slowly and smoothly and quietly and as slow as you want to go for walleye fishing, you really don’t need a kicker motor. A fitted canvas boat cover and my file of stuff I received when I bought the boat are included. I cannot stress enough the outstanding almost like new condition of this boat.
