Remarks
1976 Out Island sailboat in very good condition with low engine hours. She will be stored on the land in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas around April 17, 2023. She is in the water in Marsh Harbour at Abaco Beach Resort at a slip. The boat is a spacious long distance cruiser with a large inventory including a $4,000 roller furling sytem that has not been installed. The boat has long been Bahamas registered, so you can cruise her indefinitely in the Bahamas with no need to return to the US annually or pay for cruising permits. I believe there will be no Bahamas VAT because it is a private sale. She is a rugged well thought out boat and stable. She has a broken transmission gasket I have arranged to be repaired once she is on land. The inventory includes:
Avon 9' (more or less) dinghy
Autopilot (Bemar/Cetec), two fire extinguishers
Solar power, LED lights throughout except for mast lights, heavy duty power line.
Very large tankage - fuel 138 gal; water 170 gal.
Large genoa, not installed
New Harken roller furling system (expensive)
New Mercury 3 hp outboard for dinghy
New microwave oven, coffee maker, classic barometer and clock
New electric (12 and 120 volt) chest refrigerator
Electric anchor winch, 2 anchors, chain and rode
Perkins engine (famous for reliability) that runs smoothtly with low hours
Very good main and mizzen sail. Headsail furls well but needs some stitching.
Many winches and winch handles, ropes, life jackets, lifelines all around, large fenders, fresh docklines
2 heads with manual Jabsco pumps, one with shower
Swedish alchohol and electrie stoves in one unit - works well
Generator - works fine
Many replacement parts and tools and a great deal of storage space because the boat was designed for the charter market
Freshy painted (Spring 2022) bottom with anti-fouling paint
Binnacle compass, gps (fishfinder style), wind speed indicator.
Indoor-outdoor royal blue carpet
3 internal fans. Heating and a/c. I have not tested either.
Complete kitchenware
Two single sideband radios,
Charts, chart table with red light, many spare parts, bulbs, stainless steel attachments, etc, etc
[There are direct flights from Florida to Marsh Harbour]
