The engine is a recently re-built Perkins 4-107 wiith a 4-108 head. 250 hours currently. Imaculately maintained and over indulged with always clean filters and fuel. I have extreme confidence in it's dependability as I maintain it myself.
Special note: We are sailing her for 3 weeks starting May 26th 2011 if you want to crew on this vessel as a sea trial. You can come for all or part of this voyage from Magdalena Bay, Baja Mx to San Carlos, Mx where she will be hauled and painted.
Remarks
Mariner 40 specs available on-line. LOA 46' including sprit. 40' on deck. 32' LWL This is an elegant all wooden sailing vessel that has a pirate look about her. The bottom is in very good condition. Decks and rigging are constantly maintained. Mostly painted with high grade epoxy paints on deck and one part paints on the hull. All Bright work is usually done within two a days time. She is due for a haul out for caulking and painting of the hull which may be carried out before the sale of the vessel. The last survey was from Christian and Company out of San Diego @ $50,000. I am in no hurry to sell but will consider reasonable offers close to this figure. Sales are in servicable condition. I like the look of the older sails as it fits the over-all image. Most of all I love how this vessel sails.
